Nuevo León, Mexico, particularly in the upscale hillside districts of San Pedro Garza García. The house is composed of two elongated horizontal volumes that appear to float above the dense landscape, supported by slender structural elements that minimize contact with the terrain.

Broad cantilevered roof planes extend outward to provide shade and shelter, responding directly to the warm climate and strong sunlight of northern Mexico.
Floor-to-ceiling glazing opens the interiors to panoramic views, creating a seamless connection between indoor living spaces and the surrounding hillside. A defining feature of the design is the use of perforated breeze block screens, or celosías, which filter light, enhance privacy, and reference regional architectural traditions.

Beneath the elevated volumes, an open undercroft functions as a shaded social and parking space, reinforcing the home’s integration with the site and lifestyle. At dusk, the illuminated interiors glow softly through the patterned screens, transforming the structure into a warm beacon within the landscape. The architecture balances minimalist precision with cultural and climatic sensitivity, perfectly suited to Monterrey’s dramatic mountain setting.
