Club Sumaq
Structured Warmth.
This restaurant interior translates the spirit of Nikkei cuisine into a richly immersive spatial experience, where Japanese precision meets the expressive warmth of Peruvian culture. Sculpted timber arches create a rhythmic sequence of intimate dining zones, evoking both traditional craftsmanship and a sense of ceremonial procession. The architecture is layered and deliberate, reflecting the discipline and refinement of Japanese design.
In contrast, the material palette draws from Peru’s bold identity—deep terracotta tones, richly patterned stone, and tactile textiles introduce warmth, depth, and vibrancy. Custom chandeliers, composed of delicate suspended elements, float like luminous installations, adding movement and theatricality to the space.
Furniture is grounded and sculptural, with soft, curved forms that encourage gathering while maintaining a sense of intimacy. Large windows diffuse natural light through sheer drapery, balancing the darker, more atmospheric interior moments.
Together, the space embodies a dialogue between restraint and expression—where precision meets passion, and architecture becomes a reflection of the layered, cross-cultural culinary experience.
